Court-Reportable Family Therapy
We can help negotiate and navigate the future
Sometimes in family matters that are before the Family Court, the Court may refer Family Therapy to assist parents and families negotiate and navigate through parenting and other relationship issues, where parents have separated and seek to parent effectively in this separated context.
The Court may ask for the therapy to be undertaken in order to assist families to move forward from current difficulties.
Similarly, the court may refer and order the appointment of a Parenting Coordinator. In this role the family therapist assists families to negotiate parenting decision-making, as ordered by the court.
After the review of both the parent’s and the children’s view on a particular matter, the Parenting Coordinator at times may determine a decision.
In both these matters, the best outcomes are achieved when both parents have a similar goal and outcome for the therapy and co-ordination.
Our experienced family therapist will help guide parents through this process in a safe and comfortable environment.
